WELLNESS 2026

Last year I told all my friends that 2025 was going to be my wellness year and yes I think I achieved that - but I think 2026 also deserves to also be a wellness year. Why? Because wellness tbh is a mindset - it's about how you think about the future and how you want to be in the future, and most fundamentally you lay the foundations in the present.

SO what does wellness mean for me?

  • Being more present in the moment, with my friends, family, boyfriend, office, team, fitness classes - always make the most out of that instant in time because time won't increase

  • Taking care of my body in all ways: stay active, recover, loving it and feeling at my best in my skin

  • Cooking at home nourishing dishes

  • Spending some time alone - yes big one for me - I love recharging by reading or scrolling hehe

But what are my go-to wellness steps?

  1. Sleep: not a single ray of light, a fancy mattress (I consider it an investment) and a cold room

  2. Morning routine:

    1. The first thing I do is blow my nose and start inhaling from it - nose breathing is low-key one of those small habits, big impact things = cleaner air, calmer nervous system, better oxygen use, better sleep, better focus.

    2. Breathwork exercise called Uddiyana Bandha: stand still or lay down, exhale from nose, hold in for 3-5 secs, then you actively draw the belly in and up (“suck in your tummy” part), hold again for 3-10 secs, release the belly slowly by inhaling through nose. Repeat a couple of times. Why I love this: activates parasympathetic nervous system and massages internal organs

    3. Coffee LOL (this might be controversial)

    4. Light stretching exercises to kick blood flow and oxygen

    5. Dry brushing: this one is a game changer. Open your lymph nodes by tapping 10 times and then brush gently in upward motion (I followed this YT tutorial from a nice lady)

    6. Skincare and then massage my face with gua-sha and glass facial cups (I LOVE this step)

    7. Vitamin C & collagen

    8. Cycle-synced breakfast

  3. Move my body: yin yoga or a pilates-based session at the gym. I like blending strength training with my pilates foundation and honestly I also like not to die at the gym (I basically do not sweat, ever) so it's all about controlled movements which are actually harder if you ask me and spine alignment

  4. SAUNA!!!!!!!! SAAAAAUNA like I can't go without at least two sauna sessions in a week followed by ice cold showers - I feel at my best after

  5. DIY sugar scrub: when I lived in New York I discovered the RAD body scrub (but I think they discontinued it) which left my skin feel super silky but as a proper DIY girl I decided I could just do it myself

    1. Super fine sugar (otherwise too harsh on skin)

    2. I use a variety of oils: vitamin E, jojoba, hemp, coconut, olive

    3. 1 tbsp clay

    4. Essential oils: rosemary and citrus because they showed effects on adipogenesis inhibition and lipolysis induction on the cultured adipocytes with the mixed oil demonstrating vasorelaxation activity, all of which might be the mechanisms of the anti-cellulite effects of the herbal compress (Ngamdokmai et al., 2021)

    5. Quantities IDK test yourself with your skills

  6. Body clay masks: I feel detoxed after (also mix with essential oils)

  7. Relaxing bath: clay, sea salt, oil and essential oils and you're soaked into an elixir

Next steps on my wellness routine

  1. I have fallen for the vibration plate trend and now that I'm sitting down all day long I think I will benefit from making my blood flow back through my body

  2. Facials lol

  3. Microneedling peptides (but I need to undergo further investigation)

  4. Red light masks

  5. Buying crystal bowls and learning how to sound bath

I will omit that I smoke quite a lot of cigarettes for the purpose of this post... but for the pursuit of full transparency I will share it without telling you the number....
